Who I am
I am a licensed professional counselor and business owner who enjoys helping people resolve the tensions in their life and business. I'm good at figuring out what's going on and what the obstacles are that are getting in your way, and developing effective strategies for you to make some changes to get the results you're looking for. I'm a good communicator and relate well to many people, which is a strength as I work with people through challenging issues or making difficult changes. I'm also an encourager by nature so while I am focused and detail-oriented, I also want to help you see your strengths and how you can use those to your benefit.
As a business owner, I am familiar with the demands and responsibilities of keeping things running and managing staff. There are many key principles all successful business must follow in order to operate smoothly and be sustainably profitable. Sometimes being too close to the business can create blindspots you cannot see, and sometimes we as business owners get in our own way. I believe all business owners want to be successful, and I want to collaborate to relieve operational tensions to increase success.

Supervision Philosophy
I work with supervisees similarly to how I work with clients: I want to help them identify and develop their counselor identity, become comfortable and confident with it, then work to build skills in alignment with that identity. This is a collaborative process where I go in and out of various roles as teacher, counselor, and consultant with my supervisees, depending on where they're at and what needs they have. The counselors I have supervised have all said the same thing about this process: it challenges them and is a difficult process, but it's exactly what they were hoping for and has brought them to the place they wanted to be as a professional counselor.
I provide supervision in both the 1:1 setting and in a high-functioning group setting. The individual setting allows supervisees to be more vulnerable and gives us opportunities to specialize our plans and work together. The group setting, however, is a rich environment for supervisees to share their knowledge and experiences, gain support from others to normalize and encourage one another, and to gain a unique self-perspective that can be more easily seen in the group setting.

How I Can Help
Business are like family: they operate as a system with various relationships and dynamics between everyone, and most business owners invest themselves deeply into their work, which makes it meaningful and valuable.
I am in the process of developing my system for performing a needs assessment, presenting findings, and providing recommendations. Stay tuned! I will be rolling this out in 2019, and will provide more information at a later date.
